A Touch Of Class

If you close bars and clubs early for a whole weekend over a holiday period in Northern Ireland, what do you create?

The week night bonanza that is Easter Monday, that’s what!

As one of our favourite dates in the nightlife calendar is almost upon us, we invite Dutch house maestro Tom Trago to join Timmy & Jordan in room one and the ace Touch Sensitive label to hold the controls in room two.

Touch Sensitive will be represented by label owner Mark Reid & Group Zero, one things for sure, across these two rooms we know you lot are in for a hell of a Monday night!

If you don’t already know about Touch Sensitive, here’s some of our personal highlights…

When the first release on a label is a David Holmes score, you kinda realised something special had just arrived.

They released a fantastic compilation curated by the seriously on point Cherrystones, covering gems from 1978 – 1984.

The elusive Barry Lynn (Boxcutter) released the beautiful ambient works Taurus Tapes Vol 1 & 2 through TS.

Autumn’s knocked out this industrial influenced techno belter for them, which has arguably the best title for a track ever.

Belfast meets Belfast, as Black Bones take Group Zero to the after party on their remix.

Finally here’s what Mr Reid had to say about Monday –

“We are chuffed to be taking over Room 2 at The Night Institute on Easter Monday. We are a Belfast-based record label focusing on forward-thinking music. I’ll be going back to back with our very own Group Zero, who make’s raw, leftfield house and techno inspired by post-punk electronics and a host of contemporary producers. You can expect oddball openers through to electronic bangers so pop in, come hang out & get loose before checking in with Tom Trago and yer TNI tutors….”
